Uses of tungsten plates

Tungsten steel plates, with their high density, high melting point, and excellent radiation shielding capabilities, have become key materials in the nuclear energy and medical fields. They are widely used in the manufacture of shielding components for nuclear reactors, linings for nuclear fuel storage containers, and collimators and protective components in CT scanners and radiotherapy equipment, achieving superior protection compared to lead with thinner thicknesses.

In high-temperature industries and electronics, the high-temperature resistance of tungsten steel plates is irreplaceable. They are commonly used in heating plates in semiconductor manufacturing, gates and supports for vacuum electronic devices, and heating elements and heat shields in vacuum sintering furnaces and sapphire crystal growth furnaces, maintaining structural stability and performance in extreme environments exceeding 2000°C.

Furthermore, the high density and strength of tungsten steel plates make them a core material for manufacturing armor-piercing projectile cores in the military. Their excellent corrosion resistance also makes them crucial components in plasma welding, special smelting, and chemical equipment, serving as resistant to molten metal and highly corrosive media.
